3:45 pm (30 min)

The shadow of the artist’s fingers on her instrument, a shadow play between instrumental gesture and the generation of sound: from her electric guitar, Christelle Séry extracts sound and visual images exploring the mystery inherent in improvisational music.

Discover the Ensemble Cairn at the Théâtre d’Orléans: In company with W. Shakespeare, Tuesday, October 8, 8:30 pm and Lucioles, Wednesday, May 13, 8:30 pm
Classically trained (CNR of Nice, CNSM of Paris), Christelle Séry encountered the jazz scene and improvised music, pushing her to opening the borders between these worlds. With the Ensemble Cairn, Ensemble Intercontemporain or Orchestre National de Jazz, she explores the infinite expressive possibilities of electric and acoustic guitars, solo or in ensemble.
The Ensemble Cairn, conducted by Jérôme Combier, seeks to highlight the music of its time. As a directed or as a chamber ensemble, Cairn places creation in relationship with other aesthetics or artistic disciplines. Associated with the Scène Nationale d’Orléans for almost ten years, Ensemble Cairn has performed for the principal national stages and festivals, as well as internationally.
