The voice is our very own material, an intimate instrument. It allows us to communicate, to express ourselves through sounds, songs or words. I propose a workshop around the voice, its body and space. How to recognize this voice which is ours, how to make our body sing.

Elise Chauvin
joined the Maîtrise de Paris directed by Patrick Marco then in 2006 joined Peggy Bouveret’s class at the École Normale de Musique de Paris. In 2011, she joins the New Studio of the Lyon Opera. She also made a remarkable debut in the theatre as an actress in a creation by Alexis Forestier, Mystère des mystères, and has since collaborated with various companies.
As a member of the Ensemble le Balcon, she has had the opportunity to take part in numerous productions: Stockhausen’s Examen, Fernando Fiszbein’s Avenida de los Incas 3518, Marco Suarez’s L’Enfer Musical by Alejandra Pizarnik, Juan Pablo Carreño’s Garras de Oro or Richard Strauss’ Ariadne auf Naxos and in 2015, Peter Eötvös’ Le Balcon at the Opéra de Lille.
In concert, she has performed successfully in the creation of Philippe Hurel’s D’Espèces d’Espaces, Salvatore Sciarrino’s Il giardino di Sara with the ensemble 2e2m, Diana Soh Arboretum’s creation of of myths and trees with the ensemble Court-Circuit, or in Philippe Manoury’s En écho and Luc Ferrari’s Chansons pour le corps with the ensemble L’Itinéraire.
