This workshop will approach dance by starting from the individual’s actual self as the basis of all artistic expression. It is not about looking good or interesting by imitating preconceived representations, but rather above all else simply “being there”, with our current state of being, connecting to our emotions and sensations. First of all, physical exercises will awaken the body and bring the participants together. The second part of the workshop will be devoted to individual and/or collective choreographic composition through exploration and improvisation focusing on themes, either in small groups or all together. Out of these explorations, dance will emerge highlighting vulnerability, humour, or any other emotion, and defining the unique language of each person.
