This workshop is an occasion to share the practices and problematics that permeate my work as a choreographer and dancer today. We will experience setting one or more bodies into vibration, with its circulation by breath and song as much as by movement. By putting the body and voice into play we will explore the concept of “transgression”. From the Latin transgredi, transgress means to pass to the other side, to cross over, to go beyond a limit.

Betty Tchomanga
“I was born in 1989 to a Cameroonian father and a French mother. In 2007, I began studying contemporary dance at the CNDC under the direction of Emmanuelle Huynh. I graduated in 2009 and began my dancing career with Emmanuelle Huynh and Alain Buffard. After that I multiplied my experiences as a dancer for choreographers with diverse aesthetics. My career as a performer was profoundly affected by my encounter and collaboration with Marlene Monteiro Freitas. In 2016, I joined the Association Lola Gatt in Brest as associated choreographer, together with Gaël Sesboüé and Marie-Laure Caradec. The same year, I choreographed Madame, a piece for three performers. In 2020 I premiered Mascarades, a solo I choreographed and perform. At present I am working on a piece for four performers entitled Leçons de Ténèbres, scheduled to premiere in September 2022.”
