« A title like a manifesto. Brief and evocative, it conveys both the primitive energy of an uncontrollable natural element, and the original warmth around which people have always gathered to "make humanity". With Näss (Les Gens) in 2018, Fouad Boussouf celebrated the power of an ensemble of seven male dancers linked by rhythm to an ancestral land. Five years later, he has once again drawn inspiration from images of his Moroccan childhood - and beyond that, from the miraculous time of all beginnings - this time to bring into play an ensemble of ten female dancers, a tribute to the all-female world of his early years. [...] The choreographer explores the spatial and rhythmic figure of the circle, the embodiment of a regenerative impulse. Everything here is based on the physicality of the bodies, driven by a telluric instinct of obsessive, never-ending movement. The stage becomes the site of an intense collective experience, embracing 360 of the performers' movements. Using a hybrid vocabulary borrowed from both hip hop and contemporary dance, the dancers compose and recompose a scenic landscape in perpetual metamorphosis. » — Isabelle Calabre
